Facilitate spaces of communication

web_semanticaIf there is an unchanging element in our trajectory, this is our persistence in creating spaces of communication. Continuous spaces of communication where neither language nor distance be an obstacle to dialogue, reflecting and, finally, to creating in group. This truss or framework of face to face meetings, of oral and written communication has permitted to carry out collective projects, many of which were published simultaneously in Spanish and English.

One of the most outstanding differences between face to face groups and virtual ones is the space-time aspect and its consequences in the communication and representation of the group and its members. The space, beyond the screen where we read each other, comes to be a network of connections that very often are defined as a multicoloured pencil.

“A fantasmagoric —fantasmatic— space which each member grants the group, the internal group of everyone. The time introduced by virtuality is: an always open group, with different personal times, a kind of infinite presence… and the conflict, the spaces of latency between messages and the silences. In this “impermanence” of time we should now divide ourselves between colleagues who are in our everyday “reality” and the ones who are in our virtual “reality”, where Time takes a different dimension… but the two “realities” shape our reality in this twenty-first century. It is then that positioning oneself, to pose oneself in the tangible space is replaced by being, by occupying one’s place in the symbolic space.” (Foro de Grupo-Análisis en castellano)

The problem is that “being” (time and space) in as much as a subjective experience, seems to dimension itself in a different way on the individual level and, consequently, the problem is finding a “being in the group” sufficiently shared.

Perhaps, this Blog on groupanalysis could be a suitable space for this experiment of writing in a network of communication on line, interactive, multilingual and, also, face to face if we wished so and could.
